Further processing of sheet sections
Threading, chamfering and edging
Start hole for threading is already made in the cutting process, so there’s no need for additional drilling before threading laser cut sections. At KKR Steel, threading is often the first step after laser cutting. Other threads and drilling are made by machining.
We use versatile chamfering tools to chamfer and bevel what’s needed for welding, most of which is already made by using our plasma cutting machines that are equipped with 3D burner heads. More challenging chamfers and bevels are made by machining.
Our versatile selection of edging machines along with tools enable high quality sheet section edging. Our edging machines have 100 000-800 000 of bending power, which allows bending everything form thin sheet sections to sturdier sections. Edging is possible for product lengths up to 6 meters.
